Create a Foursquare Developer App

You need a free developer app to authorize Swarm. This only takes a minute.

  1. Go to foursquare.com/developers/apps and sign in with your Swarm account.
  2. Click Create a new app.
  3. Give it any name (e.g. My Credentials).
  4. In the Redirect URI(s) field, paste exactly this URL:
  1. Save the app and copy the Client ID shown on the app detail page.
💡 The redirect URI must match exactly — including http vs https. If you see a "configuration problem" error, come back here and re-copy this URL into your app settings.
