My 3rd GG Grandmother was Charlotte Cadwell b. 1811. She married Reuben Flournoy Birch or Burch III. Her father was, I think, Allen or Alan Cadwell
brother to Martin b. September 22, 1771. Martin married Diadema Hart, I think.
Does anyone have sure nuff facts on them. Fran Culpeper

My great great grandfather was James Cadwell born in 1790s (in Telfair County Georgia)and married Sabra Harrelson in 1825. They had ten children (seven boys of which five were killed in the Civil War). The older James was the son of Martin Cadwell who I think came from the Thomas Cadwell (died 1694) line from Hartford, CT., but I can't make the final connection. Does anybody know if the Martin Cadwell of Hartford moved to Georgia in the early 1800s?

I have the exact same name as you Dan, perhaps we're related. My father's name is David Cadwell and he has a brother named Joel (I think he has another brother but cannot remember his name). Anyway, I'm 18 and grew up around Los Angeles, but my dad grew up in Minnesota. He was an adopted child so you might be related to him by name only.

Hi! I've been tracing my line for many years - I finally found a connection to the Walter Cadwell from Scotland - whose son Thomas married Elizabeth Stebbins. Anyway, if you keep going down that line - Matthew, Abel, Matthew, Abel. Well, this last Abel was born 5 Jan 1762 Stockbridge, Mass, and married Clarena Beebe. This is where I get 'fuzzy' - my documentation says he had a son Stephen W. Cadwell - born 1793. Stephen married Alina Adams and they had many children - one of them William who winds his way down to me.

Does anyone out there know of this Stephen W. Cadwell family? He lived in Syracuse, New York from about 1824 to 1860, when he moved to Chicago, Illinois, and died there in 1886 at age 92.

Any help would be great!!!

Howiya,
My names Stephen I'm a 19 year old student from Dublin. I found this page by typing my name into Yahoo. I'm very interested in any info about Irish cadwells. Over here its a VERY rare name.I think it comes from Cadwalader a welsh King? I dunno but its what I read in an encyclopedia. Do any of you have unusually black hair and eyes? Anyway nice to meet you all. If i'm ever in America I'll keep my ears open for that wonderful Cadwell name!
See ya soon
Stephen
ps Happy Belated St. Patricks Day!!!!!!!

I am searching for a Margaret Ann Cadwell, born 1933 in Birmingham, UK. Last known whereabouts was at St.Mary Abbotts Hospital in Kensington, London, doing her nursing training in 1953/4. Has she married? has she gone abroad? Where is she now??? Also Albany Moor, born abt 1947, married Brian Smale in 1977. Where are you Albany??
Also interested in any other Cadwell related information, particulally those who have emigrated, or their descendants, from the UK in the twentieth century.
Thank you for reading this,
Chris Cadwell.

Did you know that Anna E CADWELL (b1829 NY - d1909 MI) married David L NASH and was the mother of Charles W NASH (b1864 IL - d1947 CA), early president of the Buick Motor Co and then General Motors and who later founded the Nash Motor Co of Kenosha WI? Nash Motors became Nash-Kelvinator then American Motors. Yeah, that one. It's all true. Other children of David & Anna's were Mazovia (b1862 IL), George C (b1866 IL) and Laura W (b1868 MI). In 1860 "Annie," as she was known, was living in the home of Roger (b abt 1796 MA) & Laura (b. abt 1797 CT) CADWELL of Malta, DeKalb Co IL, just west of Cortland. Probably her parents, although there is a source that seems to indicate her father's name may have been George. On the other hand, it looks like she did have a brother named George W CADWELL (b. abt 1831 NY). And other brothers may have been Francis (b. abt 1835 NY) and John (b. abt 1837 NY). Perhaps you are related to this CADWELL line. If so, let me know.

I am Chris Cadwell, a very keen genealogist that has been trcing my family tree for many years. During this time I have amassed a great deal of information on the Cadwell family and it's name. If there are any Americans out there that can trace (or would like to trace) thier ancestry back to the UK I would love to hear from you. I have E-mailed Cadwell Central several times but as yet had no reply. Is there anyone out there? Can you hear me?

Chris Cadwell. Genealogist, genious and all round good guy.
